I tend to look into relations and how they shape the social and the political: kinship, friendship, religious communities, identity-belonging and place-based connectedness. The research I have been developing takes subjective figures like the friend, the neighbour, and most recently, the pen pal and amplifies them into collectivity.

I pursue their entry points to understand, deconstruct and propose imagined possibilities using research and language that can be shared as community practices or add a critical voice in a white cube installation. A case of the latter is Armandina Ferreira, a piece that narrates my grandmother's life while expanding to a portrait of women during the Portuguese dictatorship. I hemmelighed jeg har det som blommen i et æg, a community work in/for Otterup, takes archival stories of past citizens to question prevailing individualistic teenage ways of being.

These days, I am focusing on the figure of the friend — relating to one another more than family, religion and co-belonging in the same place or identity. I have decided to partner with others — feeding the investigation into the partnership itself and the possible-produced work.

I hold an MFA from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts under the School of Conceptual and Contextual Practices, a Minor in Art, Writing and Research and a BFA from the Oporto Faculty of Fine Arts. I had exhibits and performances in Portugal, Denmark, Malmö, and Austria standing out circled, around - Kunsthal Charlottenborg, DK (2023), Afgang2022 - Kunsthal Charlottenborg, DK (2022), Spaces (in) Between - Thorvaldsens Museum, DK (2022), Memory Play - Ustillingsstedet Q, DK (2020), Lighting up - Tanzquartier Wien, AT (2015) and Colectivo - Serralves Museum of Contemporary Art, PT (2014). I also explore the public space, having intervened at The Lure of the Local - Kimen Ørestad (2021), REMA 1000 – meget mere kunst! - REMA 1000 Søndermarken, DK (2021) and more recently i hemmelighed jeg har det som blommen i et æg - Otterup Municipality, DK (2023).
